I have an antique cabinet that has a strange smell permanently. I tried baking soda and cloves. No luck. Ideas?
(It is a glass-fronted case containing some small moments … the only "degradable" things were a bit of cloth and some almonds preserved. I think the smell was probably caused by an object that is used to preserve the beetles of the cabinet, but have no form of insurance. There are some sites black on the inside that does not wash with soap and wash clothes after I closed a baking dish soda inside to absorb the odors hope. This does not work I put a pot of cloves in the interior of hope, cover at least the smell, but without success.) Please help.
Almost all the pieces of ancient wood, I bought has that smell, I know, lol! I found the opportunity to buy these bags in a drawer local country / gift shop. I bought euchalyptis (spelling?) And put a bag of perfume in my office and was at first both the old and the bag, but after a few months, the overwhelming smell of the bag began. Now, years later, the bags are gone, but that's all you can feel in my closets! (So be sure to choose a scent that I like!) Good luck!
