Does anyone know anything about antiques and collectibles?

My mother gave me a former boat builder retains long, and wondered if it was worth nothing. He added that the "common house good Mason" in him, and he also says that "St. Louis" at the bottom things. Be Ball jars that are abundant in tins, but I've never seen a mason jar like this before and have not had any luck doing Internet research.
