How I can fix an old bell?
We just moved into an old house, and he has a touch of old and ring Bell style. All gears work within it, and later Bell is intact, but there is nothing inside in contact with the hood to change gears. Does anyone have pictures inside one of them, who works? Or advice?
There is a very large number of these things that are around, but you and I apparently have the same type. I have one on the bathroom door, apparently to help speed the journey of someone who is there when it rings. Mine works fine, and a small hammer inside the opening type, which is activated by the action of turning the outer knob. The hammer is pushed by a spring that slams into the wrong party. If not banging hand, it is possible that previous owners, went out, children are known to have sex standing up and turning button to make it sound. It can be real annoying, especially at this time that one has no right to hit someone across the head when they act like an idiot. I would check some of the restaurants in your area if you want to make it work new, or search the drawers in the kitchen or pantry, housewives, sometimes keeping things of this nature exists.
