Question about an old bed frame for maple?

I got a bit of maple bed frame beautiful Antique – head and feet. But the sides (Where the mattress and box spring are carried out) are made of maple. We guess you could have done in 1950 or 60 – but a friend of mine who is an antiques dealer, he said, can be more than that. When furniture companies to stop using the wooden sides and scroll to the use of metal? I wonder how old my part perhaps. Thanks!

I dare say the same sounds correct. There is the possibility of the 30s. I have an old bed frame maple head and foot as well. He positions along the windows, the frame for the mattress "or down." It would have been my father when I was a child, who was in the mid 40s. Hope this helps. I'm sure google this information. dare to be useful.
