How I can know what this engagement ring is worth and what the acronyms?

I have a ring that my ex restored in the early 80, early 90's. It was grandmother's engagement ring and large we are still friends told me to keep it. I had evaluated and the gentleman told me it was definitely a room very nice and an antique engagement ring.
