What did you do about this?

I just bought a wedding dress in dark ivory and I was wondering what color veil to wear? I tried on one that the lady at the bridal shop called, “Dark Ivory” and honestly, it looked like it was dirty! It looked like it was an antique veil that was left in an attic and had yellowed.

Needless to say, I didnt really like it. Has anyone else had this problem with darker dresses? How did you handle it? And what did you eventually decide on.

do you have your heart set on having a veil? you could do an alternative headpiece, like a tiara or flowers. if you do have your heart set on having a veil, shop around but set yourself a time frame and if you can’t find a ready made one by then why not get a custom one made to match? just take the dress into a good seamstress or hat maker and they can make you one to match.
luckily I don’t have this problem, I started making an experimental veil as a possible choice and then found a stunning dress with exactly the same colors and motifs that I had incorporated into the veil!
