Does anyone know how to get information about an old pewter mark?

I have some old antique pewter which has been in the house for years, most managers trademarks.What I need to know how do I know which of the trademarks belonging to, so I can put a date in objects, and if they are covered value.Most elements, or simply classified as metal objects.

Get it valued. Really decent jewelers tend to have an expert assessment, appointment, and when they come to you or you go to them. Any expert knows good estimate of what something is worth, but have a good idea of brand, its history, its value and rarity.
